Clinical Therapy
Although all sessions are 1 hour 50 minutes, due to the war, I’ve extended every session to be an additional 20 minutes in case a siren goes off and you need to get to a mamad. If no siren happens, we end session on time.
The Four Core Therapy Focus Areas That Ultra-Motivated Israeli Clients Seek for Deep Healing
-
Trauma, PTSD & Existential Anxiety
Direct and indirect trauma from war & terror (attacks, displacement, loss of friends/family), ongoing threat or insecurity, survivor’s guilt, moral injury. Also anxiety about what the future holds (politically, socially, economically).
-
Burnout, Stress, and Emotional Regulation
Chronic stress from managing businesses/families under unstable conditions; sirens, moral/ethical overload; exhaustion from constant vigilance; difficulties with sleep, boundaries, emotional flatness or volatility.
-
Isolation, Identity & Relational Work
Issues of feeling isolated (even more so if wealth creates separations from peers or everyday concerns), challenges in trusting others, strains in family relationships, identity questions under upheaval (i.e. what does it mean to be wealthy in a broken world, what role to play).
-
Addiction, Behavioral Dysregulation & Coping Mechanisms
Increased substance use (both legal—medications, alcohol, prescription—and possibly illicit), behavioral addictions (internet, porn, gambling, etc.), overwork or avoidance as escape, risk-taking, overspending, or investing as emotional regulation.
